I would be interested in taking the class since my ex is deathly allergic to bee stings also in purchasing some honey, perhaps going halves with someone.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

When I was a young lad my parents asked me what I wanted to be when/if I grew up.
My response, " A DICHOTOMY".

10lbs of honey $90, seems excessive when I can go to Costco and get it for $30ish

%Not to speak either for or against $90/10#, but it could be a matter of warehouse store pricing against organic/local small business pricing. Proponents for the farmer would say that his honey is from a variety of local flowers and the bees are not fed sugar water to boost yields, and that the Costco $3/# honey is probably mono-diet honey imported in barrels from China, with all the pollutants and quality control that might entail. The proponent for Costco would probably ask if you can taste the difference, and if supporting the local farmer is worth the extra +200% cost.

FYI, my family has a farm, but I also am not on the bandwagon of paying extra to get everything organic.

You might also want to check to make sure it is 100% honey and not corn syrup
